Thank you notes

One of the most important parts of interviewing is sending a thank you note. Make sure to collect business cards from the people you speak with so you have their email addresses for thank you emails. Take a look at some examples below.

Thank you letter, sample #1

Hi [Name],

Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with me today. It was a pleasure connecting with you and learning more about [Company name]’s mission and the [Job title] role you are seeking to fill.

I am truly excited about the opportunity at [Company name] and within this role. I am confident that my experience, skill set, and motivations align perfectly with the needs of [whichever person or team this role is supporting]. Being [insert 3-4 qualities - ie: hard working, dedicated, proactive, organized, mission-driven] are all traits I would bring into this role to help you and the team become more efficient and enable you to focus on your priorities.

I love the vision you have as a company - [explain here] and I am incredibly impressed with the platform you’re building to help make this happen. I would love to be able to join you in this mission and I look forward to hearing from you about the next steps.

Hi [Name],

Thank you for taking the time to meet with me today regarding the [role] position at [Company name]. It is an incredible opportunity both in terms of the organization and the position and I want to reiterate my strong interest for the opportunity.

My previous experience as an EA for multiple C-level executives with ever changing schedules makes me feel confident that I will excel in this position. I bring experience in [add here - ie: juggling multiple tasks to ensure all daily activities, from monitoring calendars to performing administrative duties, as well as managing office needs.]

I am very enthusiastic about the possibility of joining the [Company Name] team. I truly look forward to hearing from you about the next steps. Please let me know if I can provide any additional information in the meantime.
