Resume Tips
Step one to getting a job is to create a resume that stands out. On average, a job opening attracts 250 resumes, but only 4–6 of these will be called for an interview. We cannot stress enough the importance of a strong resume.
Quick Resume Tips
Make sure previous roles are in the past tense.
Provide specific, numerical examples of your experience to demonstrate its impact or success.
Keep it one page, or 2 pages max.
Use consistent formatting and font.
Our preferred format for listing positions is:
Line One: Title
Line Two: Company Name, Location.
Date to the far right.
Make it error free! Triple check spelling, grammar and punctuation.
At the top include email, phone number, and LinkedIn. Don’t add full address or picture.
List education at the bottom if it’s been over a year since graduating.
Avoid writing in paragraph form and use bullet points.
